Synopsis: A department of molecular biology at a major university. Somewhere in Europe, in the near future. A young idealistic geneticist, Thomas Nielsen, meets Vincent Iparrak, a criminal monster now serving time for having brutally murdered several women. Nielsen pretends to be merely studying Iparrak’s DNA, but in fact the has his own agenda. The researcher convinces the killer to be his guinea pig: If the geneticist can prove that Iparrak's violence is inborn, he can save him from the death penalty. In exchange, the killer must allow the scientist to modify his DNA so to eliminate the "animal" inside him. A chain of uncanny events brings these two polar opposites together in a clash between humanity and bestiality: The killer discovers compassion and the geneticist embraces violence.
